This Women’s Month, independent film production company Black Cap Pictures is set to release the much-anticipated friendship movie 3 Days 2 Nights in Poblacion in Philippine cinemas starting on March 13.

The Barbie Imperial-Jasmine Curtis-Smith comedy-drama revolves around Gabbi and Charlie, longtime best friends whose platonic love for each other is tested during their unplanned stay in the party streets of Poblacion. Will their seemingly unbreakable sisterhood finally run its course during their 3 Days 2 Nights in Poblacion?

Asked about what attracted her to the role, Jasmine said “Gabbi is a dreamer, not just for herself but for her family. She cherishes memories and holds them close to her heart like they were just yesterday; she is also a loyal best friend.”

In the film, Gabbi is a popular prom queen who peaked in high school. She now wonders if she has achieved enough as a twenty-something and frequently seeks the validation of her soul sister Charlie.

Barbie, meanwhile, learned a lot from portraying Charlie, a cool and cosmopolitan young woman who has curated the best version of herself in the big city, far from her probinsya roots. “This film reminds us why friendship is more important than love,” she said.

Directed by RC delos Reyes, 3 Days 2 Nights in Poblacion has been receiving rave reviews since its Influencers’ Screening held on March 5, with Cinegeeks Podcast saying it “hits so close to home, portraying a friendship that feels relatable and above all real” and content creator Ian Lee calling it “perfect for a barkada movie bonding— It made me value my friends more after watching.”

Rated R-13, 3 Days 2 Nights in Poblacion also stars JM de Guzman, Kakai Bautista, Mercedes Cabral, and Lady Morgana.
